AsIgrewolder,myloveforwritingonlyintensified,andIbegantoexploreotherformsofartaswell.Itriedmyhandatpainting,drawing,andevenphotography.Eachnewmediumhelpedmetoexpressmyselfindifferentwaysandtaughtmevaluablelessonsaboutcreativityandself-expression.However,despitemypassionforart,IknewthatIneededapracticalskilltosupportmyselffinancially.Soaftergraduatingfromhighschool,Ienrolledinacommunitycollegetostudybusinessmanagement.Whilestudyingbusiness,Icontinuedtowriteandcreateartinmyfreetime.Ineverlostsightofmydreams,butIknewthatIneededtoberealisticaboutmyfuture.Writingandartwerepassions,buttheywerenotnecessarilythemostpracticalcareerpaths.Aftercompletingmybusinessdegree,Ilandedajobatalocalmarketingfirm.Itwasadecentjobwithsteadypay,butIcouldn'tshakethefeelingthatsomethingwasmissing.Despiteallofmyhardwork,Istillfeltunfulfilled.
